How I'm paid
On consumer mortgage transactions, I'm compensated by the lender on each closed file. Every dollar is disclosed in writing on your Loan Estimate at the time of rate lock - there are no hidden fees and you don't pay me directly. Business-purpose loans (DSCR, fix-and-flip, bridge) may be structured differently; if so, compensation is disclosed in your loan documents before you sign.
